the very lazy progress and planning process of making my save file - only parts of these builds are done, i am going pretty big on the realism / small (mountain? forest?) town vibe but it does feel a bit lacking in warmth at times so im trying to substitute that with nature so lots of trees.

i am really excited to get this part of the save done too because i want to show it to all of you so bad lol but im struggling to find that balance between realism & Still feeling like sims 4. which is really difficult honestly.

The Empire really likes the Jones Boys, and is already prepared to make them Barons—though, for some reason, they say we need a skull throne instead of a Grand Meditation Throne. Maybe they're World Eaters fans?

Unfortunately, I couldn't fix the skull throne requirement by shuffling the Rim of Madness: Bones mod around in the mod loading order, so I had to remove it entirely. It did mean all my bone china sculptures and plumbing fixtures broke, but at least we have the proper Baron title requirements of a Grand Meditation Throne.

We have also received word of another mechlink somewhere nearby. Perhaps we'll see about collecting it someday.

Finally, it seems we're still receiving gifts from our old outposts near Sparks! Arwell sent us a skip psytrainer and six voidsight serums, perhaps as a "congratulations" gift for becoming Praetors. How nice of them!

I have absolutely never considered that omg

Yeah!! Typically in canon, a mnemosurgery addiction is the mnemosurgeon's addiction to performing it, to the point it kills many (this was a big part of Chromedome's character and one of the things we knew early with him) because there's a bit of inherent risk with mnemosurgery (something about the process of linking minds together like that). The Fatal Injection is talked about a decent bit, and we very nearly see this happen to Chromedome when he's doing it with Dominus / The Pet in the end of MTMTE (this big whole thing)

But the idea of a character being addicted to receiving mnemosurgery??? Fascinating. Fascinating fascinating dynamics and scenes there. Especially considering mnemosurgery's history in idwg1, and it's connection with the autobots. Giving me ideas.

Backstory: Jane used to have a normal life. She used to have a loving family, including her little sister, a healthy friend group at school, a crush on her best friend…

And then, in one fell swoop, her world ended. Jeffery Woods, under orders of the Operator, picked her house. She woke up to the smell of smoke and blood, her parents already dead and Jeff standing just outside her sister’s bedroom. She tried to stop him, to put up as much of a fight as possible, to give her sister a fighting chance… But it wasn’t enough. She was stabbed repeatedly, and thrown from a window. By all accounts, she should have died right then and there. But life had other plans, it seemed. The intervention of a mysterious experimental serum saved her life, while also severely altering her physical appearance. Jane was supposed to be kept in that hospital for weeks in order to make sure the serum didn’t have any more unintended side effects and to make sure that her mental state was stable enough. But Jane had other plans. She broke out of the hospital, with one thought on her mind: vengeance. With only a name and her scattered recollection of his face, Jane began to hunt for Jeff.

She found her prey quicker than she thought she would, but before she could land a hit, she was teleported miles away by the Operator. Impressed by her resilience and her willingness to kill, it offered her a job as one of his proxies. She declined. Anything helping that monster that took her family from her was not to be trusted. It, of course, did not take this well

She spent a few more weeks in the woods, wandering aimlessly, trying her best to fight off the Operator and its proxies, until coming across an RV with two others determined to stop the man of the woods. Figuring that if she can get rid of the thing protecting him, she could get the vengeance she desperately needed, Jane agreed to help them.

Description: Jane’s skin is pale white, with her eyes, hair, and veins being pitch black. She usually dresses in traditional gothic attire, a short black dress and combat boots, but since she’s been living in the woods for a hot minute her wardrobe has been… limited. Her personality has changed dramatically since Jeff’s attack. Gone was the bubbly, somewhat shy girl who was there before; Jane defines herself by her rage and want for vengeance. There is a part of her that believes that she truly did die that day, and that her body just hasn’t realized it yet. She doesn’t see a future for herself outside of revenge, not anymore. This somewhat self-destructive nature can get her into trouble…

aw man finally I finished replaying half life 2 and the episodes (and lost coast) with all the commentary <3 it's so interesting and really amazing to see just how much thought and work (and play testing, haha) went into these amazing games

it's a bit frustrating and sad though to hear them talk about a technology they made and mention that they definitely want to use it to make cool things in episode 3... like, do they know?

all in all I love half life 2 and the episodes. best games ever made

kinda funny that there doesnt seem to be a minecraft mod that makes animal behavior really close to being realistic. they dont need water or food, they dont interact with prey or other mobs, they either are 100% passive or 100% aggressive. no nuance, theyre just not alive. does no one really care about the survival aspect that doesnt involve the player at all? come on. the game's only been out for a decade, surely Someone Else cares?
